The AYSO United West Michigan Story...

AYSO United was founded in 2016 with a vision to provide athletes nationwide with a clear pathway from recreational soccer to the highest level of competition. Many athletes were struggling to have a clear and defined vision of each step in their soccer careers. This provided the optimal situation to truly change the vision that was prominent across the US Soccer world and show how “A Better Club Awaits.” With the leadership of National Director Dave Thomas and the addition of Technical Advisor Robby Earle, as well as all the AYSO organization staff, AYSO United was launched!

Shortly after, AYSO United expanded into the Midwest with their first organically grown location. With the support of the National Office, some key individuals held the first tryouts for AYSO United West Michigan! Becoming the seventh AYSO United club location in the US in such a short amount of time, the vision was working and people were recognizing that clear and precise pathway for their athlete. With AYSO United West Michigan's first four teams showing great success on and off the pitch, the word was spreading and by the second tryouts we quickly grew to 17 teams!

As the completion of the Fall 2024 Grand Valley Soccer Association and MSPSP season came to an end, AYSO United West Michigan continued to show how Player Development comes first, as well as 100% Positive Coaching and Everyone Plays is the core reason why “A Better Club Awaits.” Our Six Philosophies are becoming the right way for any athletes player pathway. AYSO United West Michigan has now grown to 58 teams and over 850 player athletes and counting.
