Coaching AYSO United


COACHING AYSO UNITED

AYSO United coaches are placed in an environment where development is prioritized over winning and players are required to play 50% playing time. This structure ensures that coaches can develop players and teams without outside pressure as they look to create the ultimate development experience. We encourage professional growth and continued education both in AYSO, USSF and other coaching education programs. Upon successful completion, AYSO United West Michigan will reimburse our Coaching Staff’s fees paid to US Soccer or accredited coaching license entities for obtaining higher levels of coaching education. AYSO UNITED COACHING EDUCATION

AYSO United is not only a Club for Player Development, but one that also prides ourselves on continual education of our AYSO top coaches. AYSO United’s Coaching education pathway is designed to create a developmental path for our AYSO and AYSO United Coaches as we create a positive learning environment for our players. Each level within our structure allows coaches to maximize their coaching abilities while looking for other coaching challenges.

ENJOYMENT

Coach in a positive and enthusiastic manner. Constantly praise effort over talent and ensure players receive positive feedback as well as areas to develop.

EDUCATION

An AYSO United coach shows a commitment to their own personal development and ongoing coaching education. Continually observe and analyze players during practice and games to aid development.

COMMITMENT

An AYSO United Coach always gives 100% and is prepared to go above and beyond for the club. Focus on positive outcomes with the players and demonstrate leadership in adversity.

OWNERSHIP

Develop clear reporting procedures for players and parents. Attend and be prompt to all training and match day events. Ensure the correct coaching kit is worn at both training and games. Maintain standards relating to players kit and equipment.

INTEGRITY

An AYSO United coach sets the example for sportsmanship when coaching games. They reinforce this behavior in training, as well as contributes to creating a positive club environment where all players are valued and respects officials.

HOLISTIC

Greets the players with a handshake and thanks players for their effort in training sessions and games. They recognize the contribution of parents in the child’s development. Coaches always demand 100% from themselves as well as the players and encourages them to celebrate success collectively as a team.
